Eche (A.K.A. Mario Gordon) is a Panamanian percussionist, DJ, and dance instructor with over 25 years of international experience in the music and arts scene. Based in Melbourne, he blends Funk, Exotic Disco, Soulful Jazz, and Groovy Latin rhythms to create infectious soundscapes that move both body and soul.

As a regular performer at venues across Melbourne, Eche’s sets are a fusion of live percussion and finely curated tracks — a unique signature that transforms every dance floor into a living, breathing groove.

Beyond the decks, Eche is a passionate dance instructor whose journey began in 2007 at Kokoloco Studio in Canberra. With deep roots in Latin rhythm and movement, he has built a vibrant community of dancers across Australia, inspiring many to become instructors themselves. His teaching style — precise, musical, and deeply connected to rhythm — reflects his dual mastery of dance and percussion.

Specialising in Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, and Reggaeton, Eche offers immersive solo and partner sessions designed to awaken rhythm, confidence, and connection through movement.
