Before salsa conquered the world, another sound was moving through the streets of New York.
Latin Soul Train is an intimate listening experience that explores the musical crossroads of Spanish Harlem, the South Bronx and Brooklyn during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This was a generation of young Latino musicians who grew up between worlds—listening to Tito Puente and Motown, Ray Barretto and James Brown—and creating something entirely new.
Presented as a three-part journey:
The Hustle explores how New York’s Latino communities searched for identity as soul, funk and disco came together.
The Barrio uncovers the neighbourhoods, voices and rhythms that gave birth to this remarkable new sound.
The Revolution follows its journey beyond New York, revealing how Latin soul and boogaloo influenced underground music movements across Latin America and helped shape what would later become salsa.

From his groundbreaking collaborations with Héctor Lavoe and Rubén Blades to his work as an arranger, producer and musical innovator, we'll explore the recordings that changed Latin music forever.
More than a collection of great songs, this session uncovers the stories behind the records, the musicians who shaped them, and the social and cultural landscape of New York during salsa's golden era. We'll hear how Colón blended Afro-Caribbean traditions, jazz, soul and urban grit into a sound that was both raw and sophisticated.

Through deep listening, storytelling and carefully curated visuals, we’ll explore the world behind the music and the cultural landscape that gave birth to one of salsa’s greatest narratives.

An Evening with Rubén Blades is an intimate listening experience celebrating the music, stories and legacy of one of Latin America’s most influential artists.
This Deep Listening Session is part musical journey, part storytelling circle. Alongside selections from across Rubén's remarkable catalogue, I'll be sharing personal reflections on growing up with his music and the impact it has had on me over the years. As a fellow Panamanian, this is also an opportunity to bring a small piece of Panamá into the room, its flavour, history, humour, and unmistakable rhythm.
We'll spend time with Buscando América, an album whose message reaches beyond borders and invites us to reflect on the ties that connect us across Latin America. Its themes of identity, community, and solidarity continue to resonate decades after its release.
